Graduate Trainee Developer - As part of the University of Cambridge, the Management Information Services Division (MISD) supports administrative systems in use across the Institution. These systems include Student Records, Human Resources, Finance, University Card and Pensions.
We are looking for a trainee developer, in Oracle Business Applications, to join the Student Records team where you will help to support and enhance the current systems with the aim of delivering business improvement across the user community. The role will provide training and experience in a number of application technologies based around the Oracle product suite. The Trainee is regarded as part of the team and will work alongside experienced developers, functional consultants, business analysts, testers, trainers and project managers on a diverse range of activities. The intention is to allow the graduate to become a self-sufficient developer through the practical application of the training provided and the chance to explore all aspects of the software development lifecycle. The successful applicant will be able to apply a mixture of intelligence and skills to the resolution of real world business problems. They should demonstrate the willingness to tackle technically challenging tasks in a highly effective and professional manneroften under tight deadlines. We want team players with a keenness for learning and the commitment and enthusiasm to become successful developers and improve the software solutions we provide.
