My Client, a large London Borough Council, is currently seeking a highly a confident and proficient Performance Officer, with extensive Council experience to join the Performance and Policy Planning team as part of a business critical project.
As the Performance Officer you will be responsible for assisting in coordinating strategic planning and performance strategic support across the Department; you will be assisting the Performance Manager in producing the council's CYPS Service Plan and performance reviews of those plans. You will be integral in assisting to the development and implementation of robust performance and information management processes, including responsibility for the accurate and timely production of management information reports and statutory returns. Above all, your main purpose will be to produce a monthly Performance Digest.

Being the proficient Performance Officer you must demonstrate relevant professional and technical expertise in collecting analysing and dissemination of management information and KPI for the directorate; you must hold a broad knowledge of proposed and actual legislation, statutory regulations and Government guidance and standards relevant to Children and Young People's Service.

In summary, you must have the following skills and expertise:

  • Relevant Performance Management, Policy and Planning or Strategic Compliance experience
  • Strong Project Delivery experience (Prince, MSP, etc)
  • Ability to produce Balanced Scorecards
  • Council/Local Authority experience
  • Ability to interpret KPI and complex information to present into business/laymen terms
  • Excellent Analytical and Presentation skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills (written and verbal)

If you are the successful interim Performance Officer, you will have the ability to hit the ground running.
