A leading global provider of critical information to decision makers in the financial, legal, tax and accounting, scientific, healthcare, and media markets, powered by the world's most trusted news organisation has an immediate opportunity for a process developer to join our Software Audit and Compliance team.
Based in Aldgate, London with some home working and London travel, this position will be responsible for assisting the manager and small team in the development and implementation of the Audit policy and process and setting up documentation library structure.
Responsibilities
* Develop, implement and maintain improved Software Compliance Audit control policies and procedures across the group
* Work with team to role the process out for all current royalty reporting commitments
* Schedule and plan internal audits.
* Execute and oversee external audits assignments.
* Prepare and/or review work papers and audit reports and discuss findings with management.
* Supervise, train and mentor Internal Audit staff.
* Stay current with audit related issues/trends in the market.
* Perform other special projects as assigned as requested
* Work with senior management and suppliers.
Required skills:
* Knowledge of Audit Policies and practices
* Knowledge of software suppliers and procurement processes
* Knowledge of contractual obligations and liabilities
* Process expert
* Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills, particularly with business constituents and senior management teams
* Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive projects to completion
* Ability to adapt to change and multi-task in a dynamic environment
* Ability to work independently or in a team environment
* Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
Desired skills:
* Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Access a plus
