Position Summary
CCCi's client has an immediate 5 month contract opportunity for an IT Program Manager in the North Metro Atlanta area. The Project Manager function is accountable for all activities associated with ensuring successful performance and delivery of Software Development projects and integration projects once the contract or agreement with the customer and/or business partner has been established by:
- Estimating, planning, scheduling, monitoring, evaluating, documenting and directing project activities to ensure a complete business solution is implemented.
- Project plans are produced based on the customer's requirements and in accordance with the Project Management methodology specified and supported by the organization.
- Ensures that projects meet established time lines, cost and technical requirements, by effectively defining project scope, establishing quality and acceptance criteria, managing change control procedures and providing contingency plans and problem resolution as required.
- Conducts progress reviews with management within the development team structure.
- Managing one active project but may manage multiple projects depending on size and complexity of the projects.
- Support project staffing, performance management, and training of team resources.

Key Areas of Responsibility

- Determine magnitude of project to include all work required to permit successful implementation
- Establish acceptance criteria and quality goals Project Planning
- Establish and maintain plans that define project activities.
- Establish and maintain estimates of the project planning parameters
- Develop and maintain project plan
- Obtain commitment to the plan
- Communicate project status
- Produce project documentation
- Assist with resource negotiation and stakeholder relationship management
- Establish/maintain project information systems
- Ensure software development life cycle process is followed throughout the project
- Establish project change control process
- Track project performance
- Monitor and evaluate progress and issues against the project plan
- Implements corrective actions
- Track acceptance criteria and quality metrics
- May manage or support the acquisition of products and services from sources external to the project
- Identify potential problems before they occur
- Define the requirements & strategy for risk management
- Analyze the risks and trends to determine their relative importance
- Mitigate risks in order to handle adverse impacts on achieving objectives
- Conduct risk assessments and establish action plans
- Understand the technical and business environments.
- Balancing that the projects meet defined scope, time, cost and quality constraints
- Estimating project cost, schedule and risks, and writing the Statement of Work prior to contract
- Balancing a variety of stakeholder needs and expectations
- Establishing ownership of enterprise-wide issues
- Organizing and coordinating cross-functional resources
- Negotiating conflict resolution that maintains stakeholders' objectives
- Managing the implementation of global business solutions
- Dealing with organizational influences, ambiguity and continuous change
- Identifying and managing risks
- Ensuring effective supplier management (delivery and relationship management)
- Establishing and managing to acceptance criteria in a timely fashion

Basic Requirements
- 4-year University Degree in computer science/engineering, project management, business or other related degree
- 10 years of experience in project management or related IT roles
- Advanced knowledge of the SDLC
- Previous experience as a Project/Program Manager in the Government sector
- PMI-Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification
- Selected candidate will need to be a Senior PM who has an aggressive approach to projects.
- Experience in overall software development process

Preferred Requirements
- Masters Certificate in PM through curriculum that teaches from PMI PMBOK ANSI Standard
