Company in Carrollton, GA seeks a Web Team Lead Consultant for 6mos-1 year Contract Assignment
Role
The web team leader is responsible for conducting, leading, and coordinating software development activities and for ensuring an accurate and up-to-date corporate web-site. As needed this person may assist the business liaisons and analysts in gathering or interpreting business requirements. The team leader is in charge of motivating the team, assigning tasks, and ensuring completion of them. He/she assists the other team members when needed by providing design guidance, writing specifications for smaller tasks, and performing code reviews. He/she also keeps the team informed from those status meetings with the manager.
Key Responsibilities
Mentors, coaches other team members/staff development
Assigns tasks to team members, ensuring a productive team
Tracks successful and timely completion of assignments
Designs and develops of web applications
Performs maintenance programming and correction of identified issues
Performs quality assurance testing
Ensures consistent look and feel throughout the corporate site
Conducts performance monitoring
Designs content templates and entry of content
Provides regular status reports to IT management and acts as bridge back to team
Requirements
Four year degree in Computer Science, related field, or comparable experience in software development
Excellent problem solving skills
Good communication skills
Team player
Prior team leader experience a plus
4+ years experience in
Graphics Design Tools-Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro
Video Editing-AfterFX, Premier, media Encoder, Dreamweaver, Flash
Template Creation-OpenText template syntax
Web Development - Adobe Flex/Action Script, JavaScript, K2 Verity, HTML
Oracle/SQL or other relational database
Java
Hibernate experience a plus
Apache Struts 1.2
JSP
Application Server Experience
o WebSphere
o JBoss
