Description
We have an IMMEDIATE need for a Business System Analyst/Project Manager. This is a contract position located in Garland, TX or Boston, MA. Qualified individual will provide analysis services for major IT projects, including business process analysis, systems/data analysis, testing and training analysis.
DUTIES:
1. Candidate will follow Software Development Methodology and work closely with Project Manager and the stakeholders/users to collect requirements for solution implementation that satisfies users' needs.
2. Perform cost estimation, business case analysis, statement of work generation.
3. Prepares project execution plans, manages and assesses project risk.
4. Identifies and engages appropriate technical and business resources needed for successful project execution.
5. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.
6. Leads regular project reviews with customers and stakeholders.
7. Lead requirements gathering (elicitation, documentation, and management).
8. Perform system test planning and execution.
9. Act as project Subject Matter Expert for training development.
10. Document "Lessons Learned."
11. Facilitate project customer meetings.
US CITIZEN REQUIRED
REQUIRED:
1. Experience using formal software development methodologies such as IPDS.
2. Working knowledge and experience leading Information Technology projects.
3. Ability to develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
4. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to interface with internal customers, management and outside vendors.
5. Proven ability to influence and work across multiple organizations and levels, as well as across multiple geographic regions.
6. Proficient use of Microsoft applications (ie, Word, Excel, MS Project and PowerPoint).
7. Be self motivated and customer service oriented.
DESIRED:
1. Experience using formal project management methodologies including EVMS.
2. Experience in usability analysis and security analysis.
3. Experience leading requirements analysis for large, complex IT projects is highly desired.
4. Project Management certification a plus.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or IT related field and 6+ years applicable work experience.
