Description
Experis (formerly COMSYS) is recruiting for their client in Cincinnati, Ohio for a Database Administrator. This DBA provides DBA support for multiple databases in a cross-client environment. This role will be to provide support primarily to Oracle database instances, with some responsibility for SQL*Server and/or DB2.
Preferred skills:
DBA experience in Oracle
DBA experience with a secondary database platform (preferably Microsoft SQL Server or IBM DB2 UDB)
Expertise in SQL programming and tuning
Experience with database development (data modeling, query tuning, application-to-database interface programming)
Proficiency in a secondary operating system (eg Windows administration)
Experience in Backup/Recovery or High Availability solutions
Certification or equivalent skills on at least one database platform (eg Oracle - OCP or OCA; and/or, SQL Server MCDBA or MCS)
4yr bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
