Volt are currently recruiting on behalf of a major pharmaceuticals organisation for a Finance Manager working at their site in Weybridge.

The Finance Manager/Director will provide financial management, analysis and insight to senior management and the VPs within the R&D organization, developing a strategy that will allow the Finance team to support an ever increasing R&D organisation in terms of size and complexity. In addition, they will be responsible for managing the development and allocation of financial targets and forecasts in a multi-project environment (circa £40m), working in partnership with CHR&D budget holders to create reliable forecasts that support their strategy and objectives.

THE ROLE:
Responsible for the preparation of the month end accounts and Unison submissions to both Corporate and Sector, in addition, responsible for the consolidation of the financial results from both India and China R&D and publishing a robust rolling forecast for senior management.
In conjunction with the US Finance Manager this role is responsible for the consolidation and presentation of the R&D worldwide results and presentation to the Finance Director and senior management on a monthly basis.
Deliver a robust and accurate process for reporting external project spend for both India and China R&D for consolidation into central R&D for submission to the Senior Lead Team (SLT) and the SVP of R&D. Work with Corporate Tax and Legal to ensure that the global expansion plans can be accommodated within the India and China business.
The role has will have one Finance Analyst reporting into it who would be responsible for the month end processes, systems management and certain teams. The Finance Manager/Director will need to oversee a lot if these processes and develop the direct report.
Responsible for the consolidation and reporting R&D worldwide results on a monthly basis.
Responsible for the preparation and implementation of the strategic plan each year, ensuring a robust forecasting process and clear and insightful analysis for presentations to senior management.

THE PERSON:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Qualified accountant.
8+ years industry experience
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Good presentation skills, ability to present financial information to non financial employees concisely and effectively.
People management experience.
The ability to manage multiple projects in time pressured circumstances that have delivered real change to the business.

Preferred Qualifications
Applies technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.
Good knowledge and understanding of the industry and business objectives.
Consultative, team orientated way of working.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, to prioritise and deliver to tight deadlines and influence key stakeholders.
Working across many markets, managing all financial aspects of the business from financial accounting to investment appraisal.
