Description
To produce accurate and timely financial reports to support reporting to the Executive and to Group. To assist in ensuring complete and accurate accounting records are maintained, which enable the provision of financial information and other services for both internal and external customers of the Finance function.
- Assist in the production of monthly and quarterly reporting packs (under various GAAPs) analysing the balance sheets and full Profit and Loss Account for the UK companies.
- Assist in the accounting for the investment and property portfolios and taxation under various GAAPs.
- Assist in the preparation of annual statutory financial statements for the UK companies.
- Provide financial analysis and explanatory commentary of actual result performance against prior year, plans, and forecasts to Group on a monthly basis.
- Liaise with investment managers and UK Group to assist in the production of the forecast and budget process for the investment return.
- Liaise with Group Tax for preparation of the taxation charges for actual results under UK and IFRS GAAP.
- Preparation and submission of data to Magnitude.
- Preparation of monthly commission variance analysis.
- Produce ad hoc financial information, interpretation, analysis and support to customers, thereby enabling an improved understanding of the information provided.
- Identify and implement improvements to production processes (in conjunction with UK IT and the Finance Systems team) to increase efficiency.
- Ensure processes identified as in scope of SOX are compliant and the necessary documentation is accurately maintained.
- Develop strong and effective working relationships with Internal Business units and colleagues.
- Liaise with auditors to assist in external audits.
