Financial Analyst
South West England
An opportunity has arisen at a Trainee/Graduate level working for a Financial Services firm based in the South West of England. The role is a financial analyst position, this is a junior support role to assist with reporting, financial reconciliation and analysis.
Responsibilities included:
- Development and Production of monthly management and programme reports
- Audit and Sign-off of the finances for projects including budget approvals and project closures
- Maintenance, training and issue resolution of excel based Project Cost Model used to track project costs and forecasts
- Validating supplier invoices against forecast and delivery schedule.
- Working with the Overhead and IT controllers to assist in the controlling and reporting of the overhead and IT cost base
- Meetings with key stakeholders to ensure they understand the costs they are responsible for and their current spend versus budget
Candidates require:
- good understanding of finance and accounting principles
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Powerpoint.
- Knowledge of SAP is beneficial but not essential
- IT, Trading and/or Finance industry experience would be beneficial
- Part qualified or studying towards a financial qualification/accountant essential
