Experis is seeking a Senior Project Manager with over 10-12 years of experience for a Global SharePoint Implementation Project.
The candidate can be located in any major metro area, as long as one has a virtual home office and close proximately to an International Airport. There is 25% Travel required and you must have a valid passport.
You MUST have an active and verifiable PMP Certification to be considered for this position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for aligning IT with the business on the delivery of its strategic priorities. It will do this by building strategic global capabilities, enabling transformational efforts, embedding quality in all systems and processes and delivering the experience.
Plan and manage the implementation of projects or program components, and ensure high quality delivery within scope, budget, and schedule without losing sight of the project's business goals.
Ensure identification and full integration of all work streams and dependencies, which may be performed by globally dispersed team members, and which encompass technical, business process, and organizational change readiness work.
Communicate timely project information, issues, risks, or status to the various stakeholders through appropriate methods and channels.
This position reports to the IT PMO. The ideal candidate will have 12 or more years of technology experience, of which at least 10 solid years or more are in project or program management practice.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Establish "SharePoint Global Services" that provides collaboration capabilities with our external clients. This will enable our Engagement Teams to have one central document centric repository for all of their engagement information, and allow clients to access and participate in the development of these artifacts.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Very complex, globally distributed organization on multiple time zones, with diverse, multi-cultural stakeholders. As such, travel (within and possibly outside the United States) as well as adjustments to working hours will be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.) Integration Management:
Identify, analyze, and synchronize all cross functional and global integration and communication touchpoints for the project.
Manage project changes.
Address or escalate issues that may impact the successful outcome of the project.

2.) Scope, schedule, and cost management:
Establish and manage project and product scope boundaries.
Establish credible schedules with effort-based, resourced tasks or activities, regularly statused, with managed critical path.
Establish and manage time-phased project budget with regular variance analysis and re-forecasting.

3.) Resource Management:
Manage and motivate project staff, allocate appropriate people to project roles, taking into consideration all the complexities of working on a major global project with a diverse team. Some specific tasks include:
Understand the expertise required by the project, acquire these resources externally (following our resourcing procedures) or internally
Manage complex resourcing issues that accompany shared or non-dedicated resources, matrixed resources or resources with no direct reporting relationship.
Manage virtual teams with a mixture of onshore and offshore team members, and diverse cultural backgrounds.

4.) Risk Management:
Identify and assess risks, develop risk response plans based on impact and probability of occurrence. When necessary, exercise quantitative risk assessments on critical risks.

5.) Communication and Stakeholder management:
Establish and execute a communication plan that considers the information needs of the team, key stakeholders and others who have a vested interest in the project.
Apply stakeholder management techniques to address resistance and gain support for the project.
6.) Quality management:
Adopt appropriate project quality assurance, quality control and quality improvement activities throughout the project life cycle.
Seek and incorporate project lessons learned during the project initiation and planning process.
Establish quality criteria to which the project deliverables must adhere.
Identify and correct process issues during the execution phase.
Ensure timely project and post-project reviews are conducted.
Ensure the project's best practices and lessons learned are documented and shared across IT.

7.) Procurement responsibilities:
Facilitate the development of RFIs, RFPs
Facilitate vendor evaluation and selection process
Facilitate contract development
Adhere to or execute relevant contract provisions related to project management.

REQUIRED APPLICATIONS EXPERIENCE:
MS Office at an Expert Level
MS Project at an Expert Level - Advanced proficiency in MS Project 2007 or later (able to utilize the tool to establish, maintain and manage the critical path, establish and manage shared enterprise resources, status the project).

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Undergraduate Degree (eg, BA, BS) or equivalent experience
PMI PMP certification; PgMP a big plus

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding technologies used in large global organizations with complex and distributed operating environments.
Expertise in multiple project life cycle methodologies used with technical projects, such as:
SDLC (waterfall, RUP, Agile, etc) in application development or COTS implementations. Note, for Infrastructure PMs: infrastructure deployment frameworks
Project management methods (CPM, Critical Chain, Prince, etc)
Process quality management methods (Lean, Six Sigma, ITIL, etc)
Understanding of professional services firms culture and way of working.

ABILITIES:
Demonstrated ability in successfully executing integrated plans in at least 2 large complex international projects of a technical nature - including customized packaged solutions
Political savvy as well as sensitivity to the interpersonal dynamics in a rapidly changing organization and the consequent ability to flex personal style accordingly.
Experience in integrating business process and organizational change readiness components in a cross-functional or enterprise project.
Ability to lead and motivate staff from disparate cultural and corporate backgrounds and to form and champion teams from such resources.
