SOA Technical Integration Consultant
The Information Management and Service Oriented Architecture department of the Care Delivery BIO is seeking a highly experienced, motivated and goal-driven Solution Consultant Specialist. This individual will be part of a technically diverse Solution Design and Delivery team.
Essential Functions:
• Deliver content and applications across the SOI – Service Oriented Infrastructure.
• Understand and document current state, define target state to meet strategic requirements and develop plans/roadmap to reach target state. Communicate strategic roadmap across organization.
• Aware of key technology trends around Cloud Computing, Mobile Applications, Identity Management, etc., and its adoption in the enterprise.
• Insure Enterprise security as applicable to applications handling sensitive information.
• Present complex subjects to a broad audience - developing various alternative architectures and solutions, characterizing benefits/tradeoffs of each approach.
• Consults with senior client sponsors and other client leadership to inform and promote successful project development and implementation within the organization.
• Provides leadership and direction to clients in consulting, planning, and marketing of multiple, complex automated systems.
• Provides subject matter expertise to cross-divisional, common business areas.
• Contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
• Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.
• Exercises independent judgment in method, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Contacts pertain to significant matters often involving coordination among groups.
• Acts independently to determine methods. May supervise the activities of others.
• Strategically defines the frameworks for SOA application development.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• Deep understanding of various development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum, RUP.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong written skills - eg, developing PowerPoint, Word documents, Visio diagrams, MS Project.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking.
• Understand enterprise architectures, Web architecture, SOA and Web Mobile.
• 10 years of development in multiple technologies, including Cache and .NET.
• 6 years of developing Web applications - in various technologies including portal, SOA.
• Object Oriented Software Development.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Patterns - deep familiarity and when to apply.
• Java, Javascript.
• XML, XSLT.
• HTML and Dynamic HTML.
• Data Base modeling and design.
• UML Modeling - the process and tooling.
Top 3 - 5 Daily responsibilities (Technical Integration/Developer)
1. Interact with Epic (vendor), and the various Epic modules
2. Interact with Principle level architects to develop schemes
3. Develop WSDL/XML Schema's for the webservice
4. .NET service integration using EPIC interconnect
