Rate £23.40 - £28.80 per hour
A 6 Month contract opportunity has arisen for a Cost Accounting Manager to join a highly renowned oil and gas company based in London.
The role will be responsible for maintaining and improving Trading IT Infrastructure Finance with key focus on processes by carrying out Request to Pay (RTP) processes in an IT function, code and process invoices, raise and track billing queries with suppliers, communication and support to customers, provide monthly break down of supplier billing details, collect input from stakeholders and hold monthly meetings to assess data and record decisions.
The successful applicant would have their own area of responsibility and direct other functions in both IT and Finance. Good oral communication will be a must as the role will involve working with various teams virtually and across different time zones and cultures.
The ideal candidate must have strong (advanced) Excel skills with working knowledge of pivots tables, lookup arrays, Excel graphing. An awareness of IT Infrastructure technologies as they relate to a consumer is an advantage.
The role is new so the ability to shape others thinking and drive change sensitively will be key, there will be considerable financial and contractual areas to learn.
Experience and Qualifications required - Undergraduate
University Degree/Bachelors Degree or able to demonstrate ability and knowledge to similar level, in Finance, Business or IT.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task with strong Excel skills will be essential.
Broad knowledge and understanding of Finance concepts and of the principles and processes of paying for services, strong analytical and problem solving skills, experience of working in a global virtual team environment, ability to perform under pressure and work to deadlines with a structured, planned approach would be desirable.
