Description
Strong UNIX Systems Engineer required for our blue chip client in Stirling. The role requires an experienced and professional Unix System Administrator/Engineer and you should have proven demonstrable experience in this field. The ideal candidate will have extensive commercial experience installing, enhancing and supporting UNIX engineering products with particular experience in the following technologies: Solaris or Red Hat Linux, Shell, Perl or Python Scripting and SAN or NAS technologies. An understanding of Solaris and Linux Software Packaging, Clustering and Directory services technologies is also essential. Ideally you will have experience of the Veritas Suite of tools, Virtualization software and programming experience in C, C++ or Java. You must have excellent communications skills and ideally will have previous experience working within Financial Services.
