We have been retained by a San Diego County client to locate them a QA Engineer with 2+ years experience in a contract role. The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring and improving product quality from prototype through end of manufacturing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Update spreadsheets and databases with field analysis data from multiple sources.
Review and interpret corrective action reports from supplier.
Write 5-Phase corrective action reports for issuance to the customer.
Enter field analysis results in customer database.
Analyze data after combined from multiple sources and prepare reports.
REQUIREMENTS:
AA Degree preferably in technical or mathematics discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelors Degree preferred.
Strong analytical skills with emphasis on root cause analysis.
Knowledge if Quality tools: 8 D's. 5 Why's.
Advanced use in Office, Access, Excel, Data Entry and Graphing.
PREFERRED:
Familiarity with DVD/CD Players, LCD Displays and SMD.
Capability in reading schematics and setting up basic test benches including o-scopes, power suppliers, and switch boxes.
Capability of performing root cause analysis down to the component level.
Rate is $35 to $45/Hr. for a long term contract.
