My Client is seeking a Senior Wireless Network Consultant who will be responsible for vetting and approving overall design of the wireless network by the vendors, deployment methodology and migration from Tropos without loss of safety or production systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Wireless Network Consulting Engineer to support Enterprise WLAN and/or Outdoor Wireless Mesh accounts in the company's Services Wireless Consulting Practice.
  • Responsible for the delivery of Wireless Planning, Design, Implementation & Optimization Services to the company's major accounts.
  • Performs architectural planning and design along with configuration and integration support.
  • Also provides operational support for complex, wireless network deployments.
  • Identify & document design/architecture best practices for global Services adoption.
  • Vetting the RF site survey and trailer locations, capacity architecture AP sizing etc

Skills & Experiance:

  • Must have experience in Wireless design and deployment of Fleet wireless systems in open pit mining.
  • Knowledge of CAT MineStar Fleet Management suite of technologies
  • In depth knowledge of Wireless technologyRF Design, RF Survey/Engineering and RF troubleshooting skills
  • IP Network Design skills
  • Thorough understanding of WLAN security and network management
  • Experience designing and deploying key WLAN applications including Secure Mobility, Voice Over WLAN, Location Based Services, and Wireless Guest Access
  • Expert level Inter-networking troubleshooting in a large scale network environment.
  • Strong Technical Account management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Typically requires BSEE/CS or equivalent plus 5-10 years experience in a network engineering or telecommunications support environment. MS strongly preferred.
