JOB TITLE/Reference #: NCSE-CM-B189 Naval Combat Systems Engineer

Duration of Assignment: approximately 4 to 6 months
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Ottawa National Capital Region (some travel expected to Victoria or Halifax)
Security Clearance: SECRET

DESCRIPTION:

Our client requires the services of a Naval Combat Systems Engineer, with the following:
Experience in Naval Combat Systems.
Experience in developing specifications for naval combat systems, including installation of equipment or changes to systems and equipment.
Experience in developing documentation that meets DND requirements for Engineering Changes, including drawing and standards requirements.
Experience in developing Naval Combat Systems test & trials plans and procedures, including Test Specifications.
Experience in developing product procurement specifications.
Detailed knowledge of shipyard/dockyard production and test practices.

Location of work is in Ottawa, with some travel expected to Victoria or Halifax.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates MUST MEET the following mandatory criteria in order to qualify for consideration:
Must have a university degree in engineering from a Canadian Council of Professional Engineers (CCPE) accredited engineering program; or with engineering education credentials in the appropriate discipline deemed 'substantially equivalent' to the CCPE via an application to the Engineering International -Education Assessment Program, (EI-EAP)
Be a licensed Professional Engineer or deemed eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer by a recognized provincial licensing organization
Must have a minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
Must have a Secret Security clearance
