Senior PowerBuilder DeveloperOur large Energy client is seeking a Senior PowerBuilder Developer for a short-term contract in Charlotte, NC. This position provides reliable IT support on critical financial systems. Main functions are troubleshooting and compiling code. This position is an.application support* role for Powerplant and will require analysis of technical issues that includes technologies such as PowerBuilder, Informatica ETL's and ESP job scheduling.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- BS Degree in Computer Science
- Understanding of how to troubleshoot and proactively maintain database driven applications.
- Communication skills and knowledge of corporate finance will be critical as this resource will need to work extensively with functional users and other technical teams.
- Ability to coordinate the work efforts of other areas in within the company and balance the needs of the IT Department with the business.
- Ability to manage changes in multiple environments and the migration (promotion) of software components while adhering to Change Management Processes.
- Must have interpersonal and strong communication skills to interact with customers and peers in a timely, tactful, and effective manner.
- Ability to direct the work of self and others towards the goals of the team.
- Ability to develop/troubleshoot SQL proficiently.
- Ability to effectively prioritize activities and balance work load.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment to solve complex problems.
- Must have a strong attention to detail
