Description
Solvency II Actuarial required by well known Life & Pensions Insurance Firm primarily responsible for assessing and calibrating Internal Model risks and assumptions. Initially the role will sit within a project team, but will transfer into the business once Internal Model processes become established.
The ideal candidate will have relevant prior Solvency II and Group Protection experience, but more importantly will evidence aptitude, commercial awareness, motivation, communication and team-working skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Initially within the project team the focus will be on completing residual Internal Model development, to refine methodology, and then work together with the wider business to convert and embed this into a stabilised production environment. Once Embedded, you will provide review and assumptions feeding into the regular Internal Model production cycle, to include:
Conducting risk factor investigations
Curve fitting liabilities
Reviewing correlations
Analysing and justifying results
Ongoing assessment of Solvency II requirements, with implementation of developments arising
Relationships
You will support the Internal Model Owner to maintain and develop as required a coherent Solvency II solution which can be implemented for Group Protection.
You will be required to engage with other members of the Solvency II team to refine areas of each other's designs, to improve the overall quality of the design and documentation of the Solvency II solution, and to agree implementation plans.
You will work together with the wider Group Protection Business Units and Reporting teams to embed Solvency II into their business activities, and then to provide ongoing input into the production process.
