Our client is looking to hire a Procurement assistant for a 6 months contract based in Aberdeen.

Candidate will be responsible for the strategic sourcing of a specific group(s) of goods and services. Candidates need to have -
Managing and developing the category team to ensure that high professional standards are maintained
Conduct tendering procedures, and award contracts in accordance with the requirements
Identify opportunities for cost savings and work to meet the targets for these savings through the adoption of best procurement practice
Consult widely with suppliers, customers and other stakeholders to ascertain the optimal shape, size and style of supply and service framework contracts and procurement projects in order to best meet the needs
Working closely with the team of Category Managers to develop the CPU as a Centre of Excellence/Expertise for Procurement.
