Description
Our major telecommunications client is currently looking for an experienced OSS Solution Architect for an initial 6 month contract.As the successful candidate you will be required to act as an OSS Systems Architect on several concurrent projects, being responsible for the comprehensive scope and technical architecture of these projects. As such, the position requires an excellent knowledge of both Fixed and Wireless network architectures, the type of OSS systems required to manage these and type of interfaces these require.
Essential Experience -
- Significant demonstrable experience in a Systems Architecture role specifically within the OSS domain.
- Technical experience in a telecommunications environment
- Platform build and administration of software engineering experience
- Product development and/or customer design experience
- Experience in liaising with middle and senior management
- Operational experience in a large scale network environment
- Solution and project life cycle methodologies
- Carrier xDSL and 3G mobile network architectures
- Carrier Authentication and accounting systems (RADIUS)
- Carrier OSS - provisioning, fulfilment, assurance, etc
- Carrier BSS integration
- Significant experience with RDBMS (Oracle) and LDAP directory services
- TCP/IP and Internet protocols (HTTP, SMTP, etc)
- Layer two and layer three IP VPN
- Scripting/programming in Perl and/or other languages such as Java
- UNIX systems (Solaris and Linux)
- Experience selecting and designing storage technology
- Experience in either developing or responding to RFP and participating in procurement processes
- Disaster recovery and multi-site solutions
- Network Management & Reporting solutions (eg. HPOV &Infovista)
