C4I SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER - £400 - £600 PDAY (D.O.E.) - URGENT
My world leading cutting edge defence and security organisation have an urgent requirement for a contract C4I Senior Systems Engineer to join their team.
Purpose of Position
The purpose of the role is to provide system of systems engineering expertise into the Joint System Integration Body (JSIB). The systems engineer will provide input into a number of application integrations associated with the introduction of Battlefield Information System Applications (BISA).
Responsibilities
*Lead the system of systems integration from initial BISA developer engagement through to final product delivery
*Inputs to bids/proposals, covering Tactical C4I network infrastructure application integration
*Customer interface
*Producing Requirement for Test and test scripts suitable to exercise the integration of applications onto an infrastructure
*Production of suitable documentation to support BISA integration
Education/Experience
Essential
*Minimum SC Level clearance
*Degree in a relevant Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or IT discipline (or equivalent experience)Good understanding of requirements / architecture / technology /products associated with Tactical C4I systems.
*Proven experience in systems engineering process, including requirements management, systems analysis/design, system integration & test
*Proven experience in the use of systems engineering tools/methodologies, including: requirements management tools (DOORS), system design tools (SysML/ARTISAN)
*Good documentation skills, with experience in the preparation of systems documentation, including system requirement specifications, system architecture specifications, system test plans, system test specifications
*Experience in preparation of bids/technical proposals
*Ability to think at the systems level
*Ability/flexibility to support all stages of the systems engineering/project life-cycle
*Excellent English communication skills (oral, written, presentational), organisational skills, analysis and decision making skills, good interpersonal skills, sense of responsibility
*Use of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Visio
Desirable
*Chartered Engineer Status
