Market Data Sourcing Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Market Data Sourcing Manager to join a world leading financial services firm. The role will be part of the Global Market Data Vendor Management which is a four person team based in London providing vendor relationship and contract management for all of the firms market data vendors
The role holder will undertake vendor management and contract negotiation ensuring that the firm obtains the most cost effective market data services to meet business requirements globally and act as Relationship Manager for a range of vendors, with responsibilities including:
-Coordinating and chairing quarterly strategy and update meetings
-Providing input to the vendors product roadmap on behalf of bank
-Ensuring that Business requirements are clearly communicated
-Proactive management of contracts, including;
-Ensuring that the firm leverages it's global purchasing power through global coordination
-Negotiating of new agreements and renewals in line with business requirements
-Ensuring that details of the global deals are communicated to all participating sites
-Defining & implementing allocation of costs of global agreements and gain approval from representatives - via market data analysts as appropriate
The successful candidate will be experienced in Vendor Management with expert knowledge of market data purchasing practices and processes; Strong administration and market data product knowledge gained from working in a major financial institution; Good understanding of the commercial terms and conditions of the major market data vendors; and Capable of tracking compliance to vendor license and data usage policies. It is imperative that the candidate has excellent communication skills to fulfil this role and prior experience in using Market Data tools such as MDM
