Systems Test Analyst (Banking, Online Banking Systems) 6 months, LondonThe team supports diverse aspects of Private Banking including Retail Banking and Deposit Taking, Lending, and Trust Services. These take place both within the UK and the Channel Islands/Switzerland.
The role will be delivering testing services and solutions for projects & initiatives throughout these programmes by managing software testing and resources.
The role includes being involved in projects throughout the systems development lifecycle, starting at inception through to implementation and handover to support.
The objective of the role is to understand and execute testing of the various banking applications/platforms to a professional standard.
Technical knowledge & experience
Ability to review documentation such as function specifications and technical design documents to create test requirements
Understand both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
Ability to work closely with Business Analysts, Developers and other team members as necessary
Knowledge and use of test management tools such as Quality Center
Ability to create manual test scripts
Ability to execute manual test scripts
Basic understanding and ability to use SQL
Defect management using Quality Center or other tools such as Jira
Ability to estimate their own work effort
Experience within a banking/financial IT environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience
Solid test experience ideally within core banking systems and online banking applications
Ideally experience of testing within both the AS400 and Windows environment
Experience of working independently and within a small team
Working in a Matrix management environment
Test creation and execution
Experience of Functional, Integration and Regression testing
The successful candidate will possess or be proficient in the following:
Ability to analyse requirements and convert them into meaningful test cases
Ability to create and execute manual functional tests to a professional standard
Ability to work closely with other team members including Business Analysts and Developers as necessary.
Ability to conduct System, Integration and UAT testing
Awareness of the implications of, and adherence to, relevant compliance/regulatory processes and procedures
