We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Surveyor to join our team on a fixed term basis. Reporting to the Senior Building Surveyor, the purpose of this role is to survey all types of dwellings and determine the necessity for and priority of repair and improvement works and ensure satisfactory execution. Also to prepare specifications and issue written instructions to contractors, undertake surveys of void properties, assess condition and make recommendations for repair.

Applicants should have previous experience of working for a housing association or similar organisation, a BTEC ONC in Building Studies, relevant City and Guilds, or equivalent and have gained some experience of housing maintenance. You should be able to demonstrate a broad-based knowledge of building construction work, monitor contracts and supervise on site and demonstrate effective prioritisation and decision making skills. The role also requires IT literacy, with the ability to write reports, letters, emails and work with spreadsheets.

A full driving licence is required for this role as you will be required to travel throughout the region.
