Web Designer needed for growing Lexington area company for a long term contract opportunity!
Enthusiastic Web Designer needed to assist in designing, developing, and maintaining the company's website. The candidate must have experience creating web pages from concept to completion with a strong emphasis on utilizing industry best practices. The position will be working closely with our Global Web Designer on a variety of projects including Front End web design, interface design, UI/UX, landing pages and banners.
Roles & Responsibilities
Design and build landing pages, banners, and email templates.
Keep up to date with industry best practices and related technologies.
Participate in marketing and design creative decisions.
Collaborate with Visual Designers, Programmers, and User Experience experts to derive ideal website solutions.
Present design ideas and concepts to large teams, interpret feedback and define next step solutions.
Qualifications include:
2-4 years of experience in professional web design working on public-facing websites.
Prior experience in designing web interfaces, landing pages, and banners.
An Online portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions and visual design sense
Experience with Subversion version control a plus
Preferred Skill Set:
Intermediate knowledge of XHTML/CSS2.1, with initiative to learn HTML5 technologies
Working knowledge of JavaScript/jQuery and the ability to communicate with developers
Basic understanding of usability principles and techniques
Experience with managing multiple projects
Very organized and meticulous with documentation
Well written and spoken English
Able to perform in fast-paced environment
Strong willingness to learn
