Currently looking for a ETL Architect/Designer to join a global Investment Bank based in Edinburgh.
The ETL Architect/Designer will be required to deliver the following:
Provide High-Level ETL design definitions which includes design principles, ETL components outline, service frameworks, low-level design templates according to existing requirements and constraints.
Definition of ETL development standards Validation of completeness and consistency of input documents such as Functional Requirements, Non-Functional Requirements, mapping specifications, target model, DTP-wide architecture
Defining ETL delivery process in terms of software development lifecycle and configuration management strategy Establishing governance over ETL detailed design and build process
Providing assistance to offshore development team Code review of ETL build deliverables produced by the offshore development team
Skills required:
Financial Industry knowledge Knowledge of Informatica product stack and its components functionality
Experience of functional and application design of ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter
PowerCenter Knowledge of design principles leading to flexible and scalable architecture supporting complex processing and large data volumes
Hands-on experience of ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter platform End-to-end project delivery experience Preferably knowledge of other major ETL tools (DataStage, Ab Initio, OWB, Oracle DI) Preferably knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman)
