E-learning Designer & Trainer – London – 20 Weeks – Circa £300.00 - £380.00 per day

Job Purpose

We are currently recruiting a training designer with the ability to create E-learning modules and to provide training consultancy to technical experts. The successful candidate will be designing and producing online learning content and will work with SMEs to design technical programmes. In this role you will actively contribute to the department goal of increasing SME knowledge transfer.

Main Responsibilities – Key Accountabilities

Analyse the educational needs and learning outcomes of a programme and work with the subject specialists to design course materials and assessments that are aligned with the learning outcomes.
Design, develop and implement online solutions, taking into account instructional design and learning theories
Develop processes and instructional design strategies
Act as the SME/consultant when outsourcing projects to external E-learning providers.
Research learning tools/new solutions, and present winning strategy value propositions
Train members of the training team in creating and editing content.
Implement a process to future proof E-learning content
Work with technical experts and Business Analysts to design training on new systems and services.
Conduct Training Needs Analyses, identify ultimate training solution and design training material

Essential Criteria

Solid previous experience in training design – including having created both E-learning and classroom based training modules previously
Experience with at least one of the following rapid development tools: Adobe Captivate, Articulate Studio Lectora, UPK (will be asked to provide examples of how they have used it)
Financial services background is not essential
Excellent communication, consulting, and organisational skills
Ability to revise content from subject matter expert to develop an online course
Ability to design students notes and classroom training from SME content when E-learning is not the chosen medium Experience with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Word
Experience with Learning and content management systems
Familiarity with SCORM compliance and HTML
High level of self-motivation and an interest in online trends
Project management skills would be beneficial
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Ideally, payment industry knowledge
