C#/ASP/VB.NET Application Developer/SupportOur large Energy client is looking for a Senior C#/ASP.VB.NET Application Developer/Support Analyst on the Fossil Hydro Generation Application Support Team in Charlotte, NC. Team delivers 24 X 7 application support to the Fossil Generation end users. The team provides end user support; application broke fix issue resolution, application maintenance, and small enhancement support services.
Position Responsibilities: Primarily application rewrites and development with some possible Support work with team. Troubleshoot and maintain existing software in a production environment to minimize application down time, work closely with other Support Analyst to provide day to day I T production support for Fossil Hydro Generation facilities and end users, convert business request into technical specification to estimate solution delivery cost and hours and develop and maintain effective support and end users documentation if required. Might participate in our 24 x 7 call out rotation every 5- 6 weeks!
6-9 years of experience is required by client.
REQUIRED skills:
- experience in application development and application support and IT application solution delivery
- C#/ASP/VB.NET, Visual Studio 2010
- SQL Server , SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Oracle 11g
- excellent Customer Service Skills, self-starter with the ability to work with little supervision
- working knowledge of the Software Solution Delivery Lifecycle Process (SDLC)
- TECHNICAL SKILLS: Ability to write solid code quickly with minimum defects, excellent technical analytical skills
- applied knowledge of .NET Framework 4.0 ASP.NET with MV3, fluent NHibernate, Castle Windwor, JSON, jQuery/AJAX, and Visual Studio 2010.
- MUST be self-starter, hard worker and willing to learn!
