YOS Supervising Case OfficerEnfield Middx
Contract 8 weeks
£15.97 per hour PAYE
We are a recruitment company and we are currently looking for an experienced YOS Supervising Case Officer. The client is ideally looking for a qualified YOS, but may consider an unqualified who is able to demonstrate extensive experience.
Must be experienced as a post court case manager, not as a drugs worker, youth worker or prevention worker but as a YOS post court case manager.
Experience: Demonstrable experience of service delivery whilst under pressure and working to national and service deadlines. Extensive demonstrable experience as a practitioner in Social, Youth and / or Criminal Justice [CJ] work with particular emphasis on case management and assessment, planning and preparation of complex and sensitive reports in both hard copy and electronic format whilst working to strict deadlines in a pressured environment. Must have a good knowledge of Performance management in relation to the Youth Justice Board's Performance Framework and a good knowledge of Courts and Court Work.
Skills and Knowledge Base: Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, practice, policy, procedure and guidance concerning the criminal justice system and children and young people and a substantial understanding of intervention initiatives at both National and local service level. A good knowledge of evidence based practice relating to young people and the prevention of offending and re-offending. Particularly a current knowledge of issues relating to risk and assessment, Planning, Intervention and Review in Youth Offending Teams and its development with emphasis on community safety, victims and the welfare of young people. Must have a knowledge and understanding of how performance management and the use of information can improve service delivery in Youth Justice.
