Local Government - Waste Management/Recycling Project Manager - North West - Contract - £375 Daily Rate
Local Government authorities require experienced Senior/Project Managers to support an Environment Programme, with emphasis on their Waste Management and Recycling. This is in accordance to the focus on efficient targets rolled out for the new financial year across all directorates.
You will need to have a strong track record in a project or programme environment and of planning and monitoring projects, contracts and grants including commissioning. You will need to be an excellent team player and skilled in developing strong working relationships with internal and external partners.

Recycling Account Manager
Recycling Project Manager
Recycling and Commercial Waste Manager
Recycling Manager
Community Campaign Manager
OR
Senior experience in Waste Management and Environment, namely within Frontline or project management.
More particular experience in these roles/areas is as follows:
Design and implementation of new processes to increase business output
Implementation of standardised account management procedures and business development tools
Design, implementation and development of the following new services/schemes:
garden waste recycling service
food waste recycling service - (houses, estates and schools)
integrated recycling service - (hospitals, community centers and schools)
flats/estates dry recycling service
plastic and cardboard recycling service
Restructure and development of recycling department
More importantly, you need to have knowledge and experience of programme and project management, with proof of your abilities, in Waste Management and Recycling, as part of an Environment directorate.
This post may require out of hours working.
The candidate must require Prince2. Furthermore, the client would prefer a Local Government experienced specialist.
