This role is responsible for providing high quality analysis to assess the impact of PPI redress.

This is an extremely high profile project.

Working across multiple businesses and functions to produce joined-up and consistent output.
*Analyse performance of project across 3 business areas and produce insightful commentary
*Evaluate financial impact of options and decisions
*Own forecast process for £1bn provision
*Own rule sets & logic for refund calculators
*Compliance, Operations, Project Management, Analytics & Information, local Finance business teams
*Process expertise
*Primary point of contact for business
*Improve the quality of financial analytics to senior stakeholder groups, working closely with the Analytics & Information team to source accurate & timely MI
*Acknowledge important differences between the three business areas but ensure this does not create a barrier to consistent messaging at project level
*Deliver proactive insight on performance at business, cohort and customer levels
*Work with the Reporting Manager to develop & build on comprehensive reporting packs
*Ensure financial evaluation is a key tool in decision making processes
*Provide impact assessments on options/decisions made by the project
*Become an influential player across workstreams & at project level
*Deputise for line management as required
*Understand refund policy and cohort approach to customer complaint handling
*Interpret policy & accurately reflect in the rule sets (to be owned by this team) used in refund calculators
*Liaise closely with calculator builders/owners to ensure build & output is in line with rule set including detailed testing of results
*Facilitate feedback loop on calculator between 3 key areas.
*Engage with key finance contacts to understand the basis of original provision work for each business
*Build & own a robust process for forecasting provisions for each business and deliver results to key stakeholders
*Create efficient provision models which allow stress testing and multiple scenario outputs
*Liaise with auditors (internal & external) via Control & Governance colleagues on provision assessment work
*Work closely with the other teams within Finance to create a seamless team - very strong supplier and customer relationships
*Understand the end-to-end operational processes and links to strategy & policy
*Intellectual competencies - analytical, strategic viewpoint but can also master detail when required, commercial perspective and acumen
*Technical competencies - good basic technical knowledge, and ability to leverage knowledge of specialists, but be willing and able to challenge them credibly on key assumptions
*Personal competencies - high degree of organisation, adaptable and flexible, comfortable with ambiguity, credible to key stakeholders, able to adopt a process and process improvement approach when required
*Interpersonal - strong ability to influence across teams and across different functional/product areas; able to drive change and to manage through others
*Negotiation skills - in order to be able to land analysis which may run contrary to traditional business thinking or existing business trajectory towards a given goal
