Instrument Technician
Control & Instrumentation - Maintenance - Pharmaceutical/Chemical/Petrochem
Contract Duration: 12 months initially + extension
Location: Midlands
As an integral part of a small team you will provide maintenance support in the removal and replacement of control valves and transmitters including all associated equipment (valve positioners). You will maintain, repair and calibrate the flow, temperature, pressure and level controls loops and ideally have the ability to tune control loops as required.
Candidate
With your Passport to safety or IOSH accreditation you will have demonstrable experience in the mechanical maintenance of control equipment and instrumentation. You should have knowledge of discrete controllers, PLC's or SCADA systems and hold 17th Edition IEE Regs certification. You will have operated in hazardous chemical environments, preferably pharmaceutical or chemical industries and therefore hold CompEx accreditation.
You will be able to provide basic tools and equipment including spanners, sockets, hand tools and multi-meter.
