Description
Financial Accountant - Insurance/London/Contract - £250 per day Leading Insurance Provider is currently looking for a strong Financial Accountant to join their team in London. This is a contract position for nine months and involves producing statutory accounts for the team.Responsibilities:
- Produce Annual Statutory Accounts within internal set deadlines.
- Provide support in production of Group INS1 and FSA returns and liaison with internal and external auditors over the return providing further analysis, explanation and understanding where requested.
- Production of monthly balance sheet reconciliation including intercompany balances in accordance with Group policy control framework and ensure any reconciling items are dealt with promptly and appropriately.
- Continuously develop, improve and document processes and accounting models to increase efficiency, effectiveness, accuracy, timeliness and quality as well as user friendliness.
Requirements:
- Previous experience of producing statutory accounts and FSA returns within an insurance environment.
- Ideally studying for an accountancy qualification (ACCA or ACA)
- Advanced Excel Skills and Intermediate Access Skills
- Excellent communicator.
