Excellent temp to hire opportunity for a Quality Technician/CMM Programmer for an automotive manufacturer in Northeast Atlanta. This job is a 36 hour weekend shift Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night 7PM to 7AM shift. Must have thorough GD & T knowledge.
Responsibilities and prospects for the Quality Technician/CMM Operator:
This person will also be responsible for performing all Quality Lab functions and will report to the Quality Manager.
Individual will be responsible for writing and maintaining all CMM programs using MCOSMOS and Calypso software. Responsible for CMM program writing/maintenance, correlation studies from CMM to manufacturing gauging, customer layouts, gauge maintenance calibration dock audits Met analysis promptly answering calls for assistance at the production lines.
Education and experience for the CMM Operator/Quality Technician:
Thorough knowledge of GD T. MCOSMOS or Calypso software experience preferable.
3+ years hands on experience writing CMM programs
Experience using standard gauging profilometer, surface roughness, calipers, micrometers, hardness tester, microscope, etc.
Experience maintaining/calibrating all above equipment
Ability to identify/contain/correct problems quickly
Maintain safety 5S and quality standards
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft software Word Excel Powerpoint etc.
Must be able to work independently with little to no guidance
