Seeking SAS resource to do SAS administration. Role will involve about 50% phone support and 50% technical SAS administration. Ideal candidate has 2 - 3 years SAS experience as an Administrator or as a Programmer who has also done administration.

SAS Support Helpdesk/SAS Administrator - Provides support for SAS customers by troubleshooting problems with SAS applications/environment and providing technical solutions to business user needs. To provide monthly report metrics on performance of SAS environment, application, and usage. Researches alternative technical solutions for changing business needs and SAS customer base. Provides support of SAS applications software by providing software upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance to monitor and improve performance.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge: The ideal candidate would have thorough knowledge and understanding of SAS Software Administration activities or SAS software applications (SAS 9.13 or later release experience preferred. Enterprise Guide, SAS Personal Login Manager). 2 to 4 years of experience in SAS software applications and/or administration. Also, familiarity with UNIX environment (AIX), scripting, and security are preferred.

Previous experience doing admin support for packaged software applications adding new users, configuration, troubleshooting.

Skills: Strong customer support Helpdesk and software engineering trouble-shooting experience with strong interpersonal/communication skills.

Must be high-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment.
Must provide the necessary skills to have a high degree of initiative and self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written with strong relationship, collaborative skills and organizational skills.

- Must be able to work in a structured development environment following lifecycle control software development procedures.
