URGENT
Interim Director of Environment - North - Local Government - Negotiable rates
Local Government authority immediately requires an experienced Director of Environment to assist the Chief Executive Officer.
As the Director of Environment, you will work closely with the environment and regeneration teams, local partners/providers, to lead council strategy and assist to achieve council efficiency targets.
You will be responsible for management of the teams within the directorate such as Highways and Transport, Waste, Planning and Development, Economic Regeneration, Energy and Sustainability.
This will include liaising with external partners and the local authority to establish inward investment, monitoring of the directorate and local private partnership strategy.
You need only apply if you have demonstrable experience at working as a Senior Manager within Environment and Regeneration within Local Government, ie Director Level.
You will need to have a strong track record in a project or programme environment in addition to Local Government experience. You will need to be an excellent team player and skilled in developing strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
