Working for one of the leading banks within Sydney CBD, the purpose of this role is to develop specific software changes, ensuring adherence to relevant group standards and processes. Responsibilities Include: 

  • Develop operational and system documentation to enable effective Maintenance and support of applications
  • Plan and conduct component testing of software solutions to ensure quality and (fit for purpose) deliverables
  • Clarify with and influence the business in defining technical requirements to ensure system changes are aligned to longer term investment plans and meet business requirements
  • Contribute to the development of detailed design documents to enable solutions development to identify final sizing and costing
  • Conduct problem management and issue support (as applicable to support) to ensure system availability, reliability, stability, currency and recoverability of applications
  • Apply tools, standards, methods and processes in developing solutions to ensure that quality applications are developed with consistent Maintainable code which supports risk and compliance management

Minimum Experience Required: 

  • Extensive experience in programming with SQL/Sybase.
  • Experience delivering pieces of work in a complex project environment
  • Experience providing quality review of code.
  • Tertiary level qualifications in Computer Science or relevant industry recognised certification
  • Sound knowledge of system analysis methods and tools
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
