Description
The Instructional Designer designs, develops and tests training media in a geographically diverse organization. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to quickly and effectively gauge ERP training needs and develop and deploy ERP training solutions to meet those needs.
Training Development Tasks
Works in conjunction with internal subject matter experts and/or vendors to design and develop instructor-led course media (participant guides, job aids, activity guides, instructor notes, PowerPoint presentation)
Works in conjunction with internal subject matter experts and/or vendors to design and develop webinar course media (webex instructions, instructor notes, demo scripts, webinar formatted Powerpoint presentation)
Revises training media as needed
Demonstrates understanding of package solution implementation methodology
Demonstrates understanding of adult learning theory and applies those practices to the design and development of instruction
Training Delivery Tasks
Works to obtain proficiency in Oracle or PeopleSoft software applications required to properly develop and test all training media
Develops and tests data to support all training demonstrations and hands on activities
Reviews all instructor-led and E-learning media for accuracy
Participates in pilot test class(es)
Provides support during webinars by taking notes, coordinating questions submitted by students and assisting students in troubleshooting technical issues
Knowledge and Skills
h Comprehensive knowledge of Adult Learning Theory
h Excellent written, presentation and organizational skills
h Prior experience with Oracle software curriculum design and development
h Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated skill in Instructional Systems Design (ISD)
h Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Powerpoint versions 2007 and 2010
h Advanced proficiency with coordinating and supporting Webex training sessions
h Proven ability to consult effectively with business leaders and subject matter experts to identity training needs and develop media to meet those needs
Education/Experience
h BS or MS degree in Instructional design or Technical Communication preferred
h Minimum 3 years experience designing and developing Instructor-Led and webinar course media in a software curriculum
