IS Process/Project Manager (PM)
CCCI has a full time contract position for six months in Morrisville, NC. The IS Process/Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the management of the IS part of regional or global projects. He/She will support the business project leader in creating/maintaining the overall project plan, monthly status reports to the IS management and the project specific implementation of the given IT processes and standards. The PM works close together with technical purchasing in the RFP (request for proposal) process in order to select external IT providers and review the SOW's (statement of work). The PM is responsible to steer, monitor and approve all IT provider related activities and invoices. He/She is responsible for the agreed IS project budget and the overall quality of the IS solution.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, optimize and document global or regional business processes together with business experts.
- Support the business experts in gathering and documenting requirements.
- Support the project leader in organizing and hosting the respective workshops.
Responsible for transforming business requirements into a IS concept, the realization and implementation of this concept. The development itself will be done with external IT providers (onsite, regional or global).
- Enforce the given IS standards in the project (eg software engineering, software life cycle management, etc.).
- After the project is finished the PM will organize and be responsible for the ongoing support and operation of the IS solution. This includes 1st and 2nd level user support. As a technical process expert he/she will support the business process expert in optimizing existing processes or defining new processes.
Required skills:
- Strong technical background with Bachelors in Computer Science or related field with 10+ year's experience.
- Ample experience with Project Management.
- Ability to manage large-scale projects with proven track record of delivering with high quality, on-time and within budget.
- Good Analytical and Problem Solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to liaise well with business and translate complex business requirements to technical documents.
- Willingness to travel.
Preferred skills:
- In-depth understanding of Software Lifecycle
- Experience organizing RFP's, and reviewing Statement of Work
- Experience working with geographically distributed and time-zone separated project resources
- Experience with web or mobile based applications
- Experienced in using database technology (Oracle)
- Software Development (JAVA, .NET)
- Experienced in Service-Oriented Architecture (BPEL, WSDL, XSD, Service Bus)
- Experienced in Lab Automation
- Experienced in ERP (SAP)
- Knowledgeable of GLP
- Chemical Environment
