hyphen, on behalf of Everything Everywhere, are currently seeking a Retail Design Manager to create the vision and set the strategy of the Retail store experience, ensuring it remains true to brand and concept while maximising the opportunity to drive sales and optimise customer experience. Own all elements of the physical in store experience relating to fixtures, fittings, lighting, layout and visual display of all goods and services.

Be the guardian of space so every product and proposition has its location to maximise its sales potential

Act as the gatekeeper to the look and feel of the store to ensure remains true to brand and concept without loosing the opportunities to drive fun and simple interaction.

The role requires high levels of creative and commercial understanding particularly when applied to store interiors, interactivity and design as well as an excellent understanding of customer habits, buying patterns and the art of producing emotionally engaging and compelling displays.

Retail Design Manager Key Accountabilities

* Signing Off CAD plans for new store openings and modernisations, ensuring consistence with planning principles and effective merchandising opportunities
* Managing zoning and planograme system to ensure handsets/accessories and POS can be consistently laid out in stores whilst being receptive to product and spatial change
* Interpret the promotional strategies of the Trading managers, (relating primarily to Beyond Voice/Pay as you go/Post pay/Business/Accessories) into physical designs and layout priorities.
* Working with our international colleagues and key operational teams, manage and lead the evolution of the UK store concept taking into account customer insights, learning's from concept implementation within the rollout programme and new concept designs from network retailers.
* Ensure effective hand over and communication of new concepts to the operation and implementation team to ensure successful roll-out. Incorporate feedback from roll-out into guidelines. Work to deliver a seamless operational process from start of new store identification to operational hand over.
* Working with external agencies, ensure the concept in each new store has been optimised for greatest customer and sales benefit.
* Develop direct reports professionally through performance reviews, coaching, training, and career planning.
* Through personal leadership, drive employee engagement within the store design and layout team
* Constantly seek more efficient processes and procedures to drive and support world class customer satisfaction and experience
* Cost centre management

Retail Design Manager Education and Work Experience

* Evidence of demonstrable success in designing, implementing and evolving the physical in store experience in a multi site retail operation.
* Understanding of the design and implementation of exceptional visual displays in a technology led organisation.
* Evidence of establishing sustainable plans and layouts which stores and merchandisers can understand.
* Demonstrable success in a customer service centric organisation within a multi site customer service or retail operation.
* Excellent creative ability matched with operational delivery in a multi site retailer.
* An understanding of Information technology systems in a retail or service business.
