A Major Global Insurer is looking for an Internal Model (IMAP) Submission Manager. The Internal Model (IMAP) Submission Manager will take key role in the Internal Models workstream and will report directly to the Director of Internal Models.
The Internal Model Team is an expanding function within the programme to deliver:
* Produce packs of information for submission to the FSA at each stage of the IMAP that are professional in appearance and complete in content.
* Ensure that the content and timing of IMAP submissions meet with FSA requirements and expectations.
* Advise and agree with Solvency II projects and committees the required content of each submission and responsibilities for the production of inputs.
* Ensure that all legal entities and all business units within the Insurer have been considered, and that their scope of work under Solvency II and for IMAP is agreed.
* Facilitate the definition and implementation of regulatory compliance and quality assurance processes for the Solvency II programme.
* Keep the Internal Model Steering Committee, the Solvency II Programme Board, the Internal Model Governance Committee, the Solvency II Steering Committee and the FSA informed of progress, activities and issues towards the achievement of Internal Model approval.

Required Experience
* Understand the implications of changes to each of the model's assumptions and drivers (eg risk factors (covering insurance (actuarial) risks, market risks, credit risks, operational risks and liquidity risks), projections, what if scenarios, etc).
* Ability to prepare clear and concise text across Pillars 1,2 and 3 outlining the existence of processes, controls and information to support the Group's Internal Model Application.
Solvency II technical requirements and approaches to a level that facilitates effective liaison with technical specialists.
* The overall Solvency II regulations across all of the three pillars.
* Experience of dealing with senior and executive management.
* Ability to understand the detail but also able to take a big picture approach.
