Industry leader is looking for a strong QA Analyst who is responsible for performing quality assurance duties throughout the project life cycle. To be successful in this role, one must be able to work effectively in a fluid, fast-paced environment. This role requires good communication skills to be able to communicate verbal and written with all levels of the organization. In addition, the successful QA Analyst must be able to work with minimal or no supervision. Must have expert skills with SQL Queries and manual testing of large volumes of data. You will create and execute test cases and test plans. Will be working with multiple Oracle databases and must have the ability to navigate. Backend testing and strong SQL skills are needed with the use of inner and outer joins as well as relationships between databases. Must also be able to read UNIX logs for time stamps. Understanding of Web Front End.

SKILL REQUIRED:
4-5 years QA experience focusing on software verification and Back End data validation.
Minimum 4 years experience testing web based applications.
Strong experience developing and performing queries against an Oracle database environment.
Experience testing in a Unix environment.
Experience with a defect tracking tool such as Quality Center.
Experience with a test case management tool such as Quality Center.
Strong knowledge of various QA methodologies.

Required Experience

  • Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in computing related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years QA experience focusing on software verification and Back End data validation
  • Minimum 5 years experience testing web based applications
  • Strong experience developing and performing queries against an Oracle database environment
  • Experience testing in a Unix environment. Experience with a defect tracking tool such as Quality Center
  • Experience with a test case management tool such as Quality Center.
  • Experience with business support software applications such as MS Office (Word, PowerPoint Excel, Project, and Visio).
  • Experience with test automation tools preferred
  • Strong knowledge of various QA methodologies
  • Experience with requirements traceability
