Short Description:
To manage the implementation of selected and agreed suppliers/merchants for acceptance of Visa solutions to aid the implementation of major corporate and multinational clients who are implementing commercial card solutions.

Complete Description:
Develop customer communications, to work with customers' resources who manage supplier relationships. Working directly with clients as well as colleagues in Implementation and other teams, the role holder will provide guidance, best practice and leadership on supplier strategy and communications to maximise the programme whilst focusing on ensuring a profitable return for the Business.

Project manage supplier take-up through database management and to work closely with Payment Acceptance colleagues where support for supplier recruitment is appropriate

Itinerant worker (home based) with regular meetings at client premises around the UK and potentially Europe and within UK offices.

Management and implementation - 80%
Occasionally onsite (UK and Europe) or via conference call with Large, Enterprise and Multinational Business
To create, develop and document appropriate supplier communication approaches and materials
To work with customers' resources, primarily procurement based, to ensure appropriate approaches recommended and suppliers engaged in the most effective, positive manner to gain commitment
To act as the co-ordination point establishing cross functional relationships, particularly with the Payment Acceptance teams (UK and overseas), to develop and document processes to manage suppliers for recruitment to accept payment solutions, ensuring timely feedback and agreed deliverable for clients.

Operational and Planning 20%
- Attend regular team meetings, contributing and sharing ideas, best practice and experiences to further develop the implementation and sales teams.
- Complete Admin functions with diligence weekly/monthly as required and all mandatory training as necessary.
- Support Implementation, Technical and Sales Management best practices and governance.
- Contribute to tenders when requested - this may lead to working long hours to meet tight lines by the customers.
- Manage Performance Development, Self Development, Product, Industry and Economic Knowledge and maximise knowledge of Commercial Cards industry.
- When New Business opportunities arrive, support New Business Negotiators in delivering professional presentations on the supplier enablement methodology.

Person Specification
- Project Management skills
- Database development and management skills
- Presentation skills
- Knowledge of Commercial Cards business (desirable)
- Knowledge of Payment Acceptance/Card Acquisition business
- Negotiation and influencing skills
- Experience in a client-facing role would be advantageous as would previous working in the business-to-business environment
- Language skills (desirable - French, German, Spanish or Italian)
