Description
We are currently seeking QA Analysts for our financial services client's upcoming release of their Store System product. Must be able to hit the ground running with solid QA and SQL skills. This is an URGENT need so we are looking to interview and hire immediately. This is a 3 - 6 month + contract located in Alpharetta, GA with an opportunity to go permanent.
Position Responsibilities:
- Review requirements for new or current product or product-features
- Develop thorough test plans and scripts for software applications
- Determine data requirements for test environment and environment in-place for testing.
- Investigate root cause and report on issues found
- Estimate efforts required for QA tasks
- Identify risks and elevate when appropriate
- Communicate effectively regarding QA needs, status of QA activities, assessed risks and impacts
- Execute tests, track defects and analyze failures
- Work closely and efficiently with IT development team, business customers and vendors as needed
Position Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in structured QA practices
- Expert knowledge and skills in developing test plans and test cases
- Must have experience with MS SQL Server and SQL
- Must be able to write and execute SQL statements to query a database for data validation
- Must have basic knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Active Directory
- Must have strong analytical skills and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience with TFS and Test Manager a plus
- Experience with QTP a plus
- In depth knowledge and thorough understanding of testing methodologies and best practices
- Skilled in risk assessment and impact analysis for software applications
- Ability to understand complex technical environments quickly
- Detail-oriented, self-starter with excellent teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in Agile environments a plus
- Experience with Financial Applications a plus
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field or equivalent experience
