Communications Manager - Banking/Finance experience required

Role:

  • Based on a central project and communications plan, the client communications manager is expected to deliver and manage comprehensive, coordinated and aligned mapping and activity planning of the communications activities that the different product streams need to execute towards our client base in EMEA countries during the Unicorn project implementation process - with the ultimate objective of keeping client impact and disruption to the minimum 
  • The client communications manager is responsible for the effective implementation of the planned communications activities in co-operation with the central/local project and communications teams 
  • The client communications manager is the central point of contact for all EMEA client-facing staff, supporting them in managing the client relationships in the transition process. She/he is also a central point of contact for any communications activities and issues for EMEA 
  • The client communications manager will be representing the communications functions in the Project - including regular meetings, workshops and any other platforms put in place to make sure all communications is aligned

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and maintain a comprehensive client communications plan for EMEA for the duration of the Project in co-operation with local project and communications teams 
  • Coordinate and align all the project-related communications plans and activities which are required by the different business and product areas to EMEA client base 
  • Understand events within both Project and Business as Usual' in order to align communications, linking project communications activities to the EMEA business as usual' communications and marketing plans/activities 
  • Manage the effective and efficient execution of the client communications activities and drive other project-related communications activities with the help of the EMEA project and communications teams 
  • Engage with client-facing staff (including Senior Relationship Bankers) to provide any support required to help them effectively guide their clients through the Project 
  • Assist in identifying, requesting and supplying product information needed to support client-facing staff 
  • Participate in project-specific communications work streams 
  • Contribute to, prepare and distribute content for EMEA client communications activities in co-operation with other teams; including cross-checking client data 
  • Track the implementation of communications activities against plan 
  • Be a point person for project-related EMEA client communications activities or issues from client-facing or project teams 
  • Be a point person for project-related communications activities or issues for the EMEA countries (eg internal communications, press implications) 
  • Collect, escalate, track and resolve client feedback, questions and issues, and keep client-facing staff informed of these 
  • Ensure consistency around adhering to communications and branding guidelines, procedures, processes and templates

Qualifications:

  • Banking/financial services experience, preferably experience in dealing with clients and client-facing staff
  • Team player, willing and able to assist and cover for colleagues and go the extra mile' when necessary 
  • Experience with managing complex communications projects across countries, divisions, functions and product areas 
  • Strong communications (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills 
  • Comfortable working constructively and regularly with junior project manager-level, all the way up to senior Country Executive
  • Excellent coordination and multi-tasking skills 
  • Native (or close to native) fluency in English, other European language skills is a plus 
  • Experience with working with and analysing Excel spreadsheets
