Project Manager - International Banking - Separation - operations

A leading Retail Bank based in London is seeking a Project Manager to work on a complex project, which offers the opportunity to work with senior level professionals in a highly respected organisation. This is a business change role not a technical/IT position.

The purpose of the role/project is the closure of operations in specified country, key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the closure of operations in specified country through sales, asset transfer or run down, manage subsequent impacts colleagues/customers and third parties,
  • Develop and manage an aggressive delivery plan,
  • Manage all associated risks, issues and dependency management,
  • High level of stakeholder management, liaising with senior representation including Regulators, Unions, Displaced Colleagues, External Advisors, International Lawyers, Auditors and M&A (mergers/acquisitions) specialists,
  • Mitigate major damage/slippage of disposal of noncore assets,
  • Experience of programme life cycle in a UK and international context.

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following skills within financial services (ideally retail banking):

  • Programme/Project management,
  • Managing business disposals, effective wind down of banking operations (business separation),
  • International banking experience,
  • Post business case development,
  • Ops, IT, Risk and Compliance on international level,
  • Transitional Services Agreements,
  • Acquisitions/disposal experience.

As well as proven experience on a large scale programme within a banking environment.
