I have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst for a 6 month contract with my energy industry client based in Hove.
Financial Analyst Responsibilities:
- To ensure the integrity of the Finance ledgers.
- Manage the monthly reporting timetable to ensure that all aspects of the Management Accounts and Performance Reporting are accurate and timely with a clear understanding of all variances to budget and forecast.
- Lead, influence and challenge the functions in monitoring and improving business performance.
- Provide quality financial and operational management information to support the business on the key performance metrics and business decisions to ensure the business is managed to the highest possible standards.
- Monitor and report on business performance to all levels of management, through best practice monitoring of risks, compliance and internal controls.
- To provide financial support to the Directorate to ensure challenging financial targets are achieved.
Financial Analyst Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant or significant experience in Performance Management
- A good understanding of the energy industry
- Commercial acumen with experience of maintaining performance management metrics to effectively manage business performance
- Experience of managing internal relationships, providing both support and challenge to business performance
- Knowledge of financial reporting processes
