Management Accountant - required to join a Global IT Services Provider in Swansea, South Wales.
Role Overview
*This business focused role within the Government Division requires the provision of finance support and control. This is an exciting opportunity in a high profile account which requires a highly motivated finance professional, with strong interpersonal skills.
*The ideal candidate will be able to work with senior account and service delivery management as well as finance and commercial streams. They will have good technical skills and be able to communicate at all levels of the organisation. They will be comfortable working with staff inside and outside the Finance community and be able to demonstrate sound commercial judgement.
Summary Role Responsibilities
*Preparing month end actuals with associated variance analysis.
*Preparation & ownership of management KPI reports for operational managers & provision of detailed financial analysis.
*Financial input to account reviews
*Preparation and analysis of business forecast
*Customer facing meetings to review financial information as required
*Application of accounting policies and standards to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial submissions
*Balance sheet reconciliations
*New business evaluation
*Ensure all reporting and accounting is in line with contractual, open book & SOX requirements.
*Ad hoc reporting and analysis
*Development and improvement of management information and reporting
*Cash flow management and control
*Liaison with auditors and preparation of information required for the external and internal audits
*Contribute to finance strategy for the account
Skills and Attributes
The ideal candidate will have the following key skills and attributes:
*Accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
*Enquiring and analytical mind
*Strong Excel skills
*Have sound knowledge of Hyperion and Oracle
*Highly motivated with a proactive attitude
*Strong interpersonal skills - able to communicate at all levels and across functions
*Good organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
*Strong financial analysis and attention to detail
