Senior Commerical Legal Adviser/London/3 months initially
A global, well known financial services organisation is currently seeking a qualified legal adviser to join their team.
The purpose of this varied role will be to assist in providing legal services for the organisation including financial services law, general corporate and commercial matters, JVs, product development, outsourcing, and the impact of legislaton.
In this role your responsibilities will include:
- Providing legal and commercial advice to all areas of the business as required.
- Reporting to the Head of Legal Services
- Supervising the work of other lawyers reporting to you
- Providing the legal input into the affairs of various business areas
- Controlling legal spending and managing legal risk
For this role you must have:
- Experience in an in-house position, ideally within financial services, or a law firm with experience of corporate and commercial work.
- Exposure to high profile transactions
- A solid understanding of the commercial requirements of a business, ideally within financial services
- The ability to manage external lawyers
